Crosby-Ironton’s Danielle Rydberg has been named the Region 7A winner, and a state finalist, for the Minnesota State High School League’s Triple “A” Award.
She was honored on February 27th at an award presentation at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, during the Section 7A boys’ hockey final.
As a state finalist, Danielle will also be recognized at a banquet on March 23rd in Minneapolis. There will be an on-court award ceremony immediately following the banquet during halftime of the Class AA championship basketball game at the Target Center. The on-court award ceremony will be televised.
Established in 1988, the Triple “A” Award is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. The award goes to high school seniors who have a “B” or better grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletics and fine arts activities. Award recipients—a girl and a boy from both a Class A and a Class AA school—will receive a four-year $1,000 scholarship.
