The Ranger boys’ basketball team saw their season come to an end Monday night with a 72-60 loss to Pequot Lakes in the Section 7AA Quarterfinals.
Originally scheduled for Saturday at Duluth Denfeld, the rescheduled game allowed the teams to play in front of a packed Ranger Gym that was full of energy.
The Rangers trailed most of the game but were able to shrink the Pequot lead to single digits a few different times. However, the hot shooting of the Patriots was too much overcome in the end.
Leading the way offensively for C-I were Joseph Stokman with 16 points, Kyle Skeim with 14 and Sam Jordan with 11.
The Rangers finish the season with an overall record of 23-5.
