The Ranger softball team fell 11-5 to Section 7AA foe Greenway Monday afternoon.
The Rangers started off the game hot, taking a 4-0 lead into the 3rd inning. However, the Raider bats came alive the next few innings and a pitching change helped keep C-I at bay.
Emma Sanford pitched six innings, allowing seven earned runs on 15 hits and striking out one batter.
Michaela Stangel, Emma Sanford, Mya Decent, and Tori Decent all went 2-3 in the game. Stangel and Sanford each picked up doubles while Tori Decent and Briana Miller laced triples for C-I.
The loss drops the teams record to 7-10 overall on the season. The finish out the regular season with a game Tuesday against Rush City and a doubleheader Thursday against Aitkin.
