Ranger Wrestlers go 3-0 at Proctor

The Ranger wrestling team swept all three of their matches at the Proctor Quadrangular on Thursday night. Seniors Adam Christopher and Nate Williams led the way, both going 3-0 on the night for C-I. Also going 3-0 for the Rangers were Dillon Barna, John Paul Fitzpatrick, Jake Klancher and MIchael FItzpatrick. The team improved their record to 3-1.

Ranger Wrestling 7th at Rush City

The Ranger wrestlers were in Rush City on Saturday for their first matches of the season. The team placed 7th overall and had 4 top-three finishers. Their next match is Tuesday, at home vs. Aitkin. Blazek Signs with Northland

Senior Kaven Blazek recently signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Northland Community & Technical College next season. NCTC is located in Thief River Falls, MN. Kaven was a two-time state entrant for C-I, qualifying at 138 pounds in 2017 and 145 pounds in 2018. He was also a 2017 USA Wrestling Freestyle National Tournament

Ranger Wrestlers Compete at State

C-I had three wrestlers compete at the state wrestling tournament over the weekend. Taylor Eigenheer (Jr., 195), Nate Williams (Jr., 126), and Kaven Blazek (Sr., 145). Eigenheer lost his first round match-up to Morgen Moreno from Westfield Razorbacks by a 16-11 decision. Moreno would go on to lose his next match, therefore disqualifying Eigenheer from a

Wrestlers go 1-1 at Aitkin Triangular

The Ranger wrestling team traveled to Aitkin on Monday night for a triangular with the Gobblers and Rush City/Braham. C-I defeated Rush City/Braham 40-33 and lost to Aitkin 19-55. Jon Paul Fitzpatrick, Nate Williams, Kaven Blazek and Taylor Eigenheer all went 2-0 on the night for the Rangers. Next up, the Rangers host Sauk Rapids-Rice

Rangers 2-1 at Mille Lacs Triangular

The Ranger wrestling team picked up a couple wins on Tuesday night at the Mille Lacs Area Triangular in Isle. Results Lost to Walker-H-A 31-41 Beat Holdingford 46-20 Beat Mille Lacs Area 42-37   The team’s next competition is Friday at the Mid-State Conference Meet in Staples.

Williams takes 1st at Parkers Prairie Tourney

Nate Williams had another great tournament on Saturday in Parkers Prairie. The junior won his 132-pound bracket and took home the Most Outstanding Wrestler Award for his performance. The Ranger wrestling team took 3rd place, out of nine teams, Saturday at the Ogilvie Lions Invitational. St. Croix Falls came in 1st and Royalton took home 2nd place. The C-I wrestling team recently competed in the Benson Invitational over the holiday break, taking 8th place out of 10 teams. Top individual finishers for C-I included Nate Williams (132) and Taylor Eigenheer (195), who both took 3rd place in their brackets. The next event for the team is the Ogilvie Tournament on Jan. 6th.
